This is surprisingly a well made piece! I wouldn’t say it’s completely functional, but I don’t plan on using it to practice. But, man, it’s beautiful, and the scabbard is too. I truly don’t think you can get something as nice for the price. And you’re helping the animals so it’s a win win!

It is a good sword for the price. I ordered this sword and the Eindride at the same time and the lower quality compared to an authentic DSA sword is apparent. That being said for the price it is a great sword. Also supports a worth cause!

It’s not top of the line but the blade is at least fairly well tempered. Flexes and returns to true at a level I’d consider a decent blade. It file tests in the low to mid 50’s Rockwell by my test files so it’s right there for a sword blade in hardness. The little things that aren’t great craftsmanship like the strip of leather overwrap on the handle is glued on, as well as the tips of the scabbard throat. The base wrap on the handle is stitched on and seems strong though. Things like the fuller and grind lines not being completely even don’t really bother me and a 15th. Century knight would be happy with the quality I’m sure. The scabbard is all stitched except for tips of the Throat but anyone with any leather skills could easily fix this. The pommel is peined on and the guard fits tightly all around the blade with no rattling.
Overall this is well worth the price! I’ve owned and made many swords, from what I’m seeing this looks to be made well enough to use with only wrapping the handle better for rigorous use. I personally got it to train with and it’s definitely adequate for that.
Support a good cause and pick one up!

I love this sword. It looks amazing in person and it feels fantastic. The sheath is great as well. The overall look is just awesome. Most importantly it supports an excellent cause.
